My first conflicting transaction on ebay+paypal and now i’m curious how it will turn out.
I paid for a collection of DVD’s on ebay and the seller has signed off from ebay… yeah, I would say this time I won’t see my money back. However, I have applied for buyers protection and now we will see… paypal says that if the conflict will be decided for me, there would be formally a claim. But – you guess right:
“Erhalte ich den gesamten Zahlungsbetrag zurück, wenn im Beschwerdefall zu meinen Gunsten entschieden wird?
Wenn die Angelegenheit zu Ihren Gunsten entschieden wird, sind Sie im Rahmen des PayPal-Käuferschutzes abgesichert und haben Anspruch auf eine vollständige Rückzahlung.”
There is absolutely no duty for paypal to refund my money.

UPDATE 10. 11. 2009 Paypal seems to be generous :) after the accused party didn’t respond in time, a lucky amount of 27,77$ has found its way back to my account :D one more happy customer means more happy deals. YO, EY CHECK THIS OUT!
Paypal and eBay are fabulous when it comes to buyer protection. I had that problem once too that the seller didn’t send the item. I got a full refund without any problems.
